Busy times as a rookie councillor. I have started meetings with department heads to learn about their huge responsibilities and also bring your concerns and wishes forward before budget processes start.

Our city manager has proposed a very in depth budget process that is about to start in December and continue right through to March. This will allow us all to review by line and department the complete city budget. A mountain of detail and work. The learning curve will be big.

In the last month I have also had the opportunity to ride our transit system and talk to users. They had great suggestions and our Transit Manager is terrific and very interested in listening and coming up with solutions and improvements. We hope to drop in and talk to seniors over the next while to discuss usage and safety when traveling by public transit.

Make sure you let me know your thoughts and ideas.

Thanks for your support.

Kathy and I attended "Snow White" on Sunday and it was outstanding.

The Mad Hatter Theatre Company-Christmas Pantomime-Snow White

December 1 and 2 at 2 PM

Mirror, mirror, on the wall who is the fairest of them all? Start your Christmas season by entering a delightful world of magic and fun! The Mad Hatter Theatre Company returns to the E. A. Rawlinson Centre for our fourth season and proudly presents the Christmas Pantomime Snow White. This interactive family entertainment production follows the wicked Queen as she seeks to destroy her rival in beauty. The Dwarfs are stubborn, generous, mean, kind and totally appealing. The Prince is a true Prince, sometimes foolish, always brave and Snow White is a lovely and lovable as legend says. Children of all ages and the young at heart will enjoy the antics of the characters in this light hearted rendition of the story. Return to the innocent world of childhood literature as the story comes alive on the stage in our fun filled matinee performances. Imagination has no age and dreams are forever
.
